Gratitude Letter to Brett

By Carisa Carlton

Day Thirteen of my “30-Days of Gratitude” journey

September 23, 2017

Dear Brett,

I am grateful for how liberally you open your seaside home to me. I am grateful for all the comfort food you cook and share. I am grateful for the house parties you host.

I am grateful for the way you listen to a problem and meticulously coach me through solutions and raise my awareness of issues I would not have otherwise considered. I am grateful for your calm, logical responses to my ideas. I am grateful for your determination to fully understand challenges by asking questions until you reach the seed of the issue. I am grateful for your diverse knowledge. I am grateful for your well constructed advice.

I am grateful for all the times that you adjusted my back. I am grateful for the effort you put into discovering the underlying complexities of my subluxations. I am grateful that when I could barely walk, you provided healing at my home. I am grateful you have cared for me.

I am grateful for the opportunity to watch you develop your expertise in relieving other people’s pain. I am grateful for the opportunity to watch your professional determination. I am grateful that I always feel safe in your presence. I am grateful for the opportunity to experience new facets of life’s gifts with you.

I am grateful for all the Main Beach walks. I am grateful for your penchant for negotiating equitable deals. I am grateful for the times we worked together as a team to accomplish a task.

I am grateful for the opportunity to edit your book. I am grateful for all I learned through you. I am grateful for your friendship.

I am grateful for all the positivity your spread just by being you.

Thank you for being a friend,

Carisa
