Day Fourteen of my “30-Days of Gratitude” journey
September 24, 2017
Dear Deborah,
I am so grateful that when I entered your office on Times Square nearly 18 years ago, you were a breath of unusual kindness. I am grateful for all you did to help me get settled in my midtown full-service apartment, and I am especially grateful for your studious decision to set your focus on other causes when you learned I shared my home with a serval.
I am grateful for your loyalty and support. I am grateful that you find humor in most every situation, and you are able to make me laugh about the most insidious issues. I am grateful for your ability to laugh at your own tribulations, setting a remarkable example of humility for me and everyone who knows you.
I am grateful for your freedom fighting warrior spirit. I am grateful for your example of moving-on to the next big thing and leaving negativity behind. I am grateful for your passion for digging to the root of understanding with your endless questions.
I am grateful for the opportunity to watch you foster independence and love for adventure in your children. I am grateful for your courage to change and grow. I am grateful for your endless creativity and for your special ability to solve problems.
I am grateful for your willingness to travel to visit me. I am grateful that you manage critically sensitive documents with skill and professionalism. I am grateful for your determination to get things done first class and on time.
I am grateful to know that you will continue living with passion, courage, and dignity and that you will continue building upon your network of wonderful people. I am grateful for the opportunity to watch you continually travel and along your paths, continue to bless thousands of people with your contagious laughter and warm smile.
I am grateful for your authenticity and your ability to be vulnerable.I am grateful for your enlightened spirit. I am grateful for the blessing of knowing you.
Debby, wherever you are today, I am grateful you are my friend. Thank you for being just the way you are.
Your friend for life and beyond,
Carisa
